Long-Distance Movers in Lynchburg, VA
Longer moves are where a small, local crew earns its keep. The same people who load your home in Lynchburg drive it and unload it at the other end, so nothing gets handed off to a warehouse, a second crew or a broker you never spoke to.
We run regular trips from Central Virginia to Richmond, Roanoke, Charlottesville and Danville, and down into North Carolina — Greensboro, Durham and Raleigh. Customers have had us drive three hours to a job and work eight more once we arrived. Distance doesn't change how carefully the furniture gets handled.

What's included
- One crew loads, drives and unloads — no transfers between trucks
- Full furniture wrapping and padding for the longer ride
- Load planning so heavy items travel low and nothing shifts
- Disassembly at pickup and reassembly at delivery
- Multiple pickup or drop-off stops on the same trip
- A clear, upfront quote before you commit

Long-distance quotes account for distance, volume and access at both ends. You'll see the whole number up front.
Load and drive
The crew wraps and loads in the morning and drives straight to your new home.
Unload and set up
Furniture goes where you want it, and beds and tables are rebuilt before we head back.
Where we run long-distance moves
Our most frequent long runs head east on US-460 and US-360 toward Farmville and Richmond, north on US-29 to Charlottesville, west to Roanoke, and south on US-29 and US-501 toward Danville, South Boston and North Carolina. Moves between Lynchburg and the Research Triangle — Durham, Raleigh and Chapel Hill — are a regular trip for us, as are Greensboro moves along the US-29 corridor.
If you're somewhere in between, there's a good chance we're already heading your way. Ask when you request a quote.
Charles and his team did a wonderful job with our move. They drove three hours to get to the job and then spent eight hours moving furniture from two different locations to the new house. They took care with the items and made sure they were placed where they needed to go. Very nice guys with a great work ethic.

Common questions
Do you move to North Carolina?
Yes. We regularly run moves between Central Virginia and Greensboro, Durham and Raleigh. See our pages for Greensboro, Durham and Raleigh.
How is a long-distance move priced?
Distance, the amount you're moving, and access at both ends — stairs, elevators, walking distance to the truck — drive the price. We quote the whole job up front.
Will my things be on the truck with anyone else's?
No. Your move is loaded, driven and delivered by the same crew as a single job.
How far in advance should I book a long move?
Four to six weeks gives the most flexibility, especially for summer or month-end dates. Shorter notice is sometimes possible — call to check.
